Mini LED gaming laptop screen priced at 150 million
A few days after Asus unveiled the ROG Strix Scar 18, the laptop the Taiwanese company dubbed the world’s most powerful laptop, MSI also released the Titan HX series with even better specs.
Aside from using the same processor and graphics card as its competitors, the GT77 HX is also a rare gaming model that uses a mini-LED screen with a standard 4K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Mini-LED is the most popular display technology Apple has used on the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, but the refresh rate also stops at 120Hz.

MSI products worth VND150 million are more expensive than two of its competitors launched in Vietnam earlier this year: ROG Strix Scar 18 (VND125 million) and Acer Predator Helios 18 (VND126 million).
The Titan GT77 HX uses MSI’s gaming-optimized technology. In particular, the OverBoost Ultra feature allows the machine to maintain the maximum performance of the CPU and GPU. The Core i9-13980HX runs at 175W, supporting maximum boost for all eight P cores, and the GPU power is 75W, 250W total (higher than Asus’ 230W). The Cooler Boost Titan technology in the car has 4 large fans, 8 heat pipes and 6 air vents all around. However, due to this, the weight of the machine reaches 3.3 kg, which is 200 grams heavier than the ROG Strix Scar 18.

MSI notebooks are also the rare models equipped with the exclusive Cherry MX Ultra Low Profile mechanical keyboard. The ability to control RGB LED lighting with one color per key and many different effects is similar to the competition. The Titan GT77 HX’s design is also much more aggressive than the ROG Strix Scar 18, but both have RGB LED strips on the front and back edges for accents.
The rest of the hardware specs are at the highest level for a laptop, such as B. 64GB DDR5 memory, expandable up to 128GB. The device’s internal storage is 4TB, including one PCIe Gen5 compatible NVMe slot and two PCIe Gen4 NVMe support slots. What stands out the most is the new Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 graphics card with 16GB of DDR6 memory, which offers enough performance to “rock” all of today’s games.

Titan GT77 HX can also be used as a powerful desktop computer with full connectivity ports such as USB-C with Thunderbolt 4 support, PD charging, memory card reader, HDMI port with support for video output up to 8K. The device uses the latest Wi-Fi 6E standard, LABN Gigabit port, Bluetooth 5.3. However, the device’s webcam is only HD.
Besides the Titan series, MSI has also launched the Raider GE series in Vietnam with the same chip and graphics but with a more compact design and a 240Hz QHD+ screen. This is the only model where MSI comes with the new Matrix LED strip. Raider GE retail price starts from VND 70 million.
